Surrogacy in USA

Who should do Surrogacy in the USA?

Surrogacy in America is available for all, offering a unique alternative for both married couples, LGBT couples, as well as single men & women, who are seeking a variety of different egg donor and surrogacy options.

Costs

  • Singleton pregnancy through our Agency $119,000 versus average of $150,000 in USA
  • Twin pregnancy additional cost $5,000 to $10,000 depending upon the surrogate selected.
  • Egg Donor costs are extra and average around $14,000 to $16,000 plus IVF Costs.

Please note: Costs are all inclusive and cover all medical and delivery procedures, as well as the surrogate’s and the baby’s hospitalization, but exclude some medical complications. No additional expenses are expected, except parent’s travel expenses and local legal procedures at the parents’ country of origin.

Costs include:

  • Surrogate’s screening
  • Surrogate’s compensation, including: housing,
  • Sperm deposit & freezing
  • PGS/NGS
  • Embryo transfer +medications
  • Implanting frozen Embryos
  • Pregnancy confirmation

We strongly recommend that the surrogate have medical insurance as it will cover most of the costs from the time the pregnancy is confirmed through baby delivery. We specially like the policy from CIGNA. However, it must be valid for one year before the baby is born to provide obstetrics coverage.

What is the process?

As shown in our video the process can be simplified into a few basic steps

1

The decision to start the journey to have a baby starts with a strong yearning and is a deeply personal almost unexplainable desire to have a family.

2

Once you reach this point, the next step usually is to start doing your research. This typically includes researching costs and options on the Internet, chatting with friends, relatives and trying to understand the time required, financial requirements, availability of financing, and what happens after birth? How are you going to raise the baby to adulthood and related time and financial costs? The good news is that most of us find a way to resolve these issues and the next step typically is to chat with an egg donor and surrogacy agency like ours

3

At this point our Agency will ask you to complete a questionnaire with the following basic questions and invite you to meet with us in person or on the phone for a one-hour discussion. This will include:

A. Who is going to provide the sperm?

B. What will be the egg source?

C. Do you need a surrogate mother to carry the baby ?If yes, where can the surrogate source be from ?

D. How many children do you want to have? This determines number of embryos to be transferred.

E. Once these basics are in place, we then help arrange the financing as needed and the process starts.

  • Will there be one sperm source or two?
  • Can you use your own eggs?
  • Will it be a donation from a friend or family member?
  • Do you need our Agency to provide you with an egg donor?
  • What are your specifications for donor eggs. These include age, physical appearance, education, health among others.
  • Friend or Family member
  • You need our agency to provide you with a Gestational surrogate.
  • Typically, one to two embryos if you want one child
  • Two to three embryos if you want twins
  • This will again depend upon the quality of the embryos
  • Do you want a Boy or a Girl baby? Sex selection is legal in the USA.

What State jurisdiction do you like for surrogacy?

Different states in the USA have different surrogacy laws See map below. While the embryos can be created at any location, we have found that for surrogacy California Laws are the most established and provide outstanding protection to the rights of the Intended Parents.

Hence, we prefer using surrogates in California as well as use a California based fertility clinic, so the process is covered under California Surrogacy Law.

How do you handle delivery of my baby?

Once the pregnancy is confirmed, the IVF Physician will refer the surrogate to an Obstetrician to handle the medical needs from that point through delivery. Many of them practice at UCLA or Kaiser.

My sperm count is low? Any suggestions before I give a sample?

Many men will benefit by taking supplements before sperm donation. Our Holistic and Integrative Physicians recommend the following supplements for your use .
